Your Doula's Birth Story
With a history of two previous induced births, my decision for a home water birth raised questions, but I was determined, focused, and supported. My birth was unmedicated, unassisted, and nothing but natural. The most incredible and empowering experience of my life surrounded by my incredible husband who very quickly became my birth coach and the most incredible one at that & our two mini midwives. To birth our daughter in the comfort of our own home, surrounded by only my husband and our daughters and our photographer, while clenching my labor through every surge is the most incredible peaceful experience that could happen. Listening to my husband and our daughters read me the positive affirmations in our birth space, even until the moment I was pushing was truly amazing. It was magical, it was beautiful, it was perfect, and it was everything I had imagined. Our hearts are full beyond measure. Words cannot begin to describe the love and happiness in this entire experience.
Jennifer's birth story
After a week of steady prodromal labor, Jennifer trusted her body every step of the way. On a golden Thursday morning, her contractions shifted, and by the time she reached the hospital, she was already 10 centimeters—her strength leading the way. With Trevor by her side, ready to catch their son, Jennifer moved with instinct and power. In one incredible, primal surge, she roared her baby boy into the world. At 8:57 AM, Christopher Brian Seegott arrived—10 lbs 1 oz, 21 inches—placed lovingly on Jennifer’s chest by his father. It was a breathtaking, natural birth and an honor to witness as my very first doula experience.
Welcome to the world, sweet Christopher. 💛✨
